Carrot Neer Dosa.
You have eaten Neer Dosa . How about trying some carrot Neer dosa.
Neer means Water in Kannada. The batter consistency is like watery. So it is called as Neer Dosa.
Its made of Rice only and it is known as Bari Akki Dosa. Bari means only,  Akki is rice. dosa.
It is also known as Bajar Dosa. Since it can not be held straight. It has no strength. So Jar means slide.

This Neer dosa is from our Udupi Region. WE consume mostly Rice in different forms like, dosa. idli, neer dosa, shavige, Kadubu, Pundigatti etc.
I have used some carrots and coconut. Also added some white hibiscus petals since we have white hibiscut plant and it flowers nicely. These white hibiscus petals help to make dosa softa and add some good mineras and vitamins.
Make sure you use only white petals. Not the mid stick or green part.

Ingredients :

White Dosa Rice.: 2 Cups
White Hibiscus petals from 4 to 5 flowers.
Fresh grated coconut : 1 Cup.
Salt : As required.
Normal water :
Oil or ghee : 2 to 3 Tbs.

Method :

1 Wash and soak white dosa rice over night or 5 to 6 hours.
Drain the water just before you grind.

Grind it with little water till paste consistency or little liquidy.

Grinded batter.

Add  2 to 3 cups of water and check. It should be easily flowing consistency.

Keep a pan on fire and heat. Sprinkle some oil and spread a ladle of thin batter around the pan.

Each time you need to stir and mix the batter do Dosa. Or the thick batter goes down and collect it there in the down part of the bowl. So mix it well and then prepare each time.

Cover and cook.

Cook on only one side. Do not flip.

Take it out from the pan and serve with Banana Rasayana, jaggery and coconut mix or with your choice of side dish.

Normally it is eaten with some payasam, Rasayana or jaggery coconut mix.

Simple Banana Rasayana preparation.

Wash and remove the peel of banana. Cut into small pieces.

Dip in fresh boiled and cooled milk. Add little jaggery and pinch of cardamom powder.

Mix it well and serve.

 Note :

Use required water and then prepare dosas. Let it be on high and medium flame.

Must cover it quickly once you spread the batter.

Use little ghee or oil each time you prepare dosa.

Adding Hibiscus is optional.
