Have tried this healthy Veggie RA 2 Rotti.
I have given a name R2 since I have used Ragi flour & Rava. Vegetables are loaded to get some fibre too.
Its not only tasty, good for health too.
There is a proverb called "Ragi Tindava Nirogi", means the one who eats Ragi/ Pearl millet is free from any kind/ type of illness.
Its true. The farmers or Many people who work in the farm eat Ragi ganji/ broth mixed with butter milk and go to work. Afternoon their wives prepare Ragi Mudde/Ragi Balls and Sambar or any side dishes to farm and the people eat Ragi Mudde and get back to their work. At night when they get back to home for dinner is also Ragi Mudde.
They lead a strong and healthy life.
Now a days Ragi and other Siri Dhanya/ Millets have been very famous and they are known as healthy grains.
I do use millets in our food and there are many dishes in my blog too.
Here is a Veggie R2 Rotti and I am sure You do enjoy preparing this dish for Morning breakfast or for dinner at night.
Ragi flour : 2 cups
Rava : 1/2 cup
Rice flour 1/2 Cup
Vegetables and other Ingredients.
Onions : 2 . Remove the outer layer, wash it and cut into small.
Carrots : 2 . Wash and grate it.
Methi Leaves : Wash it and grate it.
Mooli ? Radish : 1 Small one, wash and grate it.
Green Chilly : Wash and cut into small.
Ginger : An inch : wash and remove its outer layer, wash again and grate.
Coriander Leaves : Wash and cut into small.
Curry leaves : Wash and cut into small.
Salt : Required
Curd : 1 Tbs
Coconut : Fresh grated : 1 Cup or little more.
You can chop all the above veggies in a chopper or cut into small.
I have used the chopper.
Method :
Mix flour and veggies together.
Add a tbs curd.
Mix every thing nicely.
Prepare Rotti on hot, oil smeared Tava..
Cook on bot sides.
Serve with your favourite side dish.
Top up with butter or ghee.
Enjoy your breakfast with a Filter Coffee.
